Not a Mega Millions winner! Jackpot up to $1.1 billion for Tuesday, March 26

By | March 23, 2024

The Mega Millions is now over a billion dollars!

No one won it all on Friday, so the jackpot will rise to an estimated $1.1 billion with a cash option of $525.8 million for Tuesday night’s drawing, according to the Mega Millions website.

The jackpot will be the fifth largest Mega Millions ever and the eighth largest in U.S. lottery history (see lists below).

The jackpot was last won on December 8 when two California tickets sold at the same location split the $394 million Mega Millions jackpot.

Did anyone win big in Friday’s drawing?

Although the jackpot did not hit, six lottery players won millions of dollars in prizes by matching the five white balls.

Tickets sold in Florida, Illinois, Nebraska and Texas all won $1 million, with a ticket from California winning $736,435 (non-jackpot prizes apply to actual sales in the state). One Virginia ticket brought the Megaplier to $3 million.

The major lotteries in the United States offer two jackpot payout options: annuity and cash.
